Colorado has wonderful Zoo Lights this time of year in three metro areas: Denver, Colorado Springs and Pueblo. These are fun, family-friendly activities and make excellent outings when friends and family are in town.
Zoo Lights in Colorado
Denver Zoo Lights – Runs every night from November 30 to January 6 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Come and experience a holiday light safari with more than 60 brilliantly-illuminated acres of lights. Enjoy nightly entertainment, animal encounters, and Santa meet-and-greets. There are also illuminated animal sculptures that swing through trees, jump across lawns, hide in bushes and appear in places where they’re least expected.
Zoo Lights is one of Denver’s most anticipated events, which is a great opportunity for folks of all ages to enjoy the holidays or kick off the New Year with family, friends and colleagues.
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo – Electric Safari is open on these dates:
Nightly, December 7 – 9
Nightly, December 14 – 23
Nightly, December 25 – January 1, 2019
(*Electric Safari is NOT open on Christmas Eve, December 24)
(4:30 to 5:30 p.m. – early entrance for Zoo members and their paying guests)
5:30 to 8:30 p.m. (last admission sold at 7:30 p.m.)

Celebrate holiday cheer during Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s Electric Safari! Over one million glittering lights and 85 light sculptures illuminate the Zoo and create dazzling memories for your family. Warming fires throughout the Zoo offer a reprieve from the chill. Also, select indoor animal exhibits remain open during the event. Top off this astounding display by gazing out at the city’s lights and watch all of Colorado Springs sparkle!
